FCC Commissioner Cashes Out

Meredith Atwell, a Commissioner at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced that she will be leaving the regulatory agency to take a job as the lobbyist for Comcast. The move comes just months after Atwell voted to approve the merger of Comcast and NBC Universal. Atwell isn't the first FCC Commissioner to leave the FCC for a lucrative lobbying position for the very same industry they're appointed to oversee. Former Chairman Michael Powell now works as a lobbyist for the National Cable and Telecommunications Association. You can read more about this disturbing development here and here.
