The Hawaii Independent Announces Cooperative Press Venture

The Honolulu-based online news site, The Hawaii Independent, is now offering readers to an opportunity to participate in their Cooperative Press.

The site aims to produce community information, investigative journalism, and solutions-oriented reporting for a local audience. It will be the only news organization in Hawaii that is reader-owned. Stock Ownership is $100, or $5/month for 20 months. Two subscription packages are also available and allow subscribers the ability blog, post events on the site as well as get discounts at local businesses.
